Jaisalmer is a charming little place which you absolutely need to visit on any tour of Rajasthan. And if you're looking to get anywhere near the actual Thar desert and visit the sand dunes, this is where you will need to come.Visit the Jaisalmer fort - a 1000-year-old fort with a 5km circumference wall. Inside the fort a mini city exists, many of whom run hotels, restaurants, cyber cafes and handcraft items, souvenir shops, exotic Indian spices shops with a maze of tiny lanes through the crowded houses and temples that make up the fort city. The fort is magnificent with 4000 families still staying inside it. The Havelis are very interesting to see, magnificently built with beautiful stone carvings, windows. Themain haveli complex known as Patwaonki havelis have 5 havelis each built over a period of 12 years. Some of these are maintained by a private trust and by govt. Other havelis are known as Nathmalji's and Salim Singh's haveli.
Get a good vantage point from a rooftop restaurant within the fort and watch the city at night or at Sunrise. visit include the Royal cenotaphs (Bada Bagh), the Gadisagar Lake and some old havelis.

Day 6 : Jaisalmer – Khuri distance 50 Kms. 1 hour drive

Wake up to watch the sun rise splendidly over the Thar from the other side.
Breakfast, drive to Jodhpur en route visiting Pokhran and temple of Osian. Pokharan was where India tested its first nuclear weaponry. A good fort with ancient things preserved in it of Raja Ajmal and Baba Ramdev Pir.
Continue your drive to Jodhpur Rajasthan, you have option to visit temples of Osian.

Day 8 : Jodhpur Rajasthan Sightseeing + Jodhpur – Rohetgarh : By Road distance 40 Kms. 1 hour drive
Breakfast at Hotel. Visit Jodhpur “The Sun City”was founded by Rao Jodha, a chief of the Rathore clan, in 1459. citywas named after him only.Jodhpur in Rajasthan India was previously known as Marwar. Jodhpur is the second largest city in Rajasthan. It is divided into two parts - the old city and the new city. The old city is separated by a10 km long wall surrounding it. Also, it has eight Gates leading out of it. The new city is outside the walled city.One of the largest palaces in the world, finished in the 1930’s. This is the Umaid Bhawan Palace. The workmanship was quite exquisite. It took 16 years to build with 3,000 workers. MehrangarhFort in Rajasthan is very impressive, and massive both from the outside and inside. There were spectacular views of blue city.
Jodhpur is a very popular tourist destination. The landscape is scenic and mesmerizing. Jodhpur city has many beautiful palaces and forts such as Mehrangarh Fort, Jaswant Thada, Umaid Bhavan Palace, one of the fascinating palaces of Jodhpur, a part of the palace has now been converted into a hotel and a museumand Rai ka Bag Palace.
Late in the afternoon drive to Rohetgarh. On arrival check-in at hotel
Rohetgarh in Rajasthan, is an off the beaten track unspoilt and undiscover village located in desert region of Rajasthan, Rohetgarh Fort in Rajasthan situated on the banks of a lake and set in the midst of rural surroundings, it is a haven of peace and tranquillity. The city palace is gigantic - it's the biggest in Rajasthan, and took something like 22 kings 450 years to build. The palace has great views of Lake Pichola, Taj Lake Palace, and Udaipur city. It still houses the royal family today, a true example of the workmanship of bygone era and depicts the Opulence in which The Maharajas lived!
The best part of the palace is the museum, which showcases staggering historical works of miniature art and mirror and glass works that are so intricate that when you really look at them you are astounding. The miniature art is like walking through the history of the palace, it takes you through all the scenes that once transpired at the palace, with all the various kings. You will especially respect these works if you go with a guide who can explain the art and the artifacts and their various history.
The city palace includes a crystal gallery, vintage motor museum, armoury, usual palace rooms and lots of amazing persian style miniatures. The Lake Palace is one of those India images that almost anyone recognizes, white marble turrets and towers rising above and completely surrounded by a calm lake. Although the Palace is as gorgeous as it appears in the pics Visit Jag Mandir and Sahelion ki bari.
The boat ride at lake pichola in Udaipur gives you great photo opportunities, capture amazing views of the city palace complex across Lake Pichola a beautiful monument in midst of the lake opposite the city palace. You will be rewarded with spectacular views and reflections of the yellow City Palace and other buildings lining the shore of Lake Pichola.

Day 11 : Udaipur – Jojawar : By Road distance 144 KMS. 3.5 Hours drive

Day 12 : Jojawar – Pushkar: By Road distance 173 kms. 4 hours’ drive

Pushkar has many temples. Most of the temples and ghats in Pushkar are from the 18th century and later, because many temples were destroyed during Muslim conquests in the area. Subsequently, the destroyed temples were rebuilt. The most famous among Pushkar temples is the red spired Brahma Temple. It is considered a sacred city as white as any holy city can be, and rich with culture and animals roaming free. The town is quaint, and a sight to see, and the people are as friendly as they are hospitable.
Pushkar is located on the shore of Pushkar Lake, which has many ghats where you will notic many pilgrims bathe. Pushkar is also significant for its Gurdwaras for Guru Nanak and Guru Gobind Singh. One of the bathing ghats is also named Gobind ghat built by the Sikh community in the memory of Guru Gobind Singh.

Day 13 : Pushkar – Jaipur: By Road distance 145 3.5 hrs. drive

1 Stop at Hawa Mahal (Wind Palace) for photography interesting structure with hundreds of little windows looks like a huge building turns out to be a slim building with a lot of stairs. The artistry of glass windows and the jharokha architectures are mesmerizing.
2nd Stop at Jal Mahal (Water Palace) is located on Amber Road. The palace has been built on Man Sagar Lake. The palace, built in red sandstone is a five-storied building, of which four floors remain underwater. There is no entry to the palace. Has to viewed from the road.

Day 15 : Agra Sightseeing + Agra – Orchha: By Road distance 252 kms. 5. 5 hour’s drive
Breakfast at Hotel. On the 15th day of your Rajasthan tour visit the major monuments of Agra Taj Mahal ,few buildings that evoke such a depth of feeling. Built as an expression of the love that Shah Jahan held for his second wife, Mumptaz Mahal, the beauty of the mausoleum has withstood time and is a true wonder. Shah Jahan had ten wives. He favoured Mumtaz above all. She was 20 when they married in 1612. She gave birth to 14 children, but died following the delivery of the 14th child. She was only 39. While on her death-bed she asked Jahan for a promise. She asked that him to build a monument befitting of the love that they held for each other. Shah Jahan was almost bankrupted his empire. Construction of Taj Mahal Agra took 17 years to complete and is commonly regarded as one of the best examples of Islamic art of all time. A masterpiece. Jahan died in January 1666 at the age of 78. His remains were laid to rest at the side of his second wife within the Taj Mahal.
The building centres on the resting place of Mumtaz and Jahan. But the Taj Mahal is itself at the centre of a number of buildings, including a Mosque.
You must allow yourself time to experience Taj beauty, you will notice Taj Mahal actually changes colour depending on the time of day, sometimes bright white turning to orange later in the day. It is truly stunning,
Agra Fort - much older than the establishment of Mughal rule in India, the most prominent buildings that now remain here are from the reigns of three main emperors: Akbar, Jahangir and Shahjahan.. There are numerous view points including the one from where on a clear day you can see the Taj Mahal. The views across to the Taj Mahal were spectacular and you almost end up with monument fatigue, wandering around all of the amazing buildings!
After lunch drive to Orchha, you may visit Jhansi Fort if time permit Jhansi fort is one of the major attractions and tells us a lot about Rani of Jhansi and her bravery.

Day 16 : Orchha Sightseeing + Orchha – Khajuraho : By Road distance 182 kms. 3.5 hour’s drive

Orchha, the sleepy but vibrant tourist destination, The mighty Orchha Fort was built by the BundelaRajputs starting from the early 16th century by King Rudra Pratap Singh. The main palaces to visit here are Jahangir Mahal, Raja Mahal, Sheesh Mahal and Rai Praveen Mahal.
Jahangir Mahal: Culminating point of the evolution of Medieval, Indo and Islamic architecture. You can go to the top and have a beautiful view of Orchha city and Betwa river.
Raja Mahal: Divided into 2 wings, with 5 storeys on 3 sides and 4 storeys on 1 side.
Sheesh Mahal: Has been converted into a hotel. There is a light and sound show daily at Orchha fort . starts at 7:30 pm and costs Rs 200 er person (Directly payble). The duration of light and sound show is for one hour.

Day 18 : Varanasi Sightseeing + Varanasi – Delhi: By overnight train
Early morning boat ride at river Ganges. To take an early morning boat ride along to Ghats is a must do in Varanasi informative and offer an upfront and open view of all the religious aspects of Varanasi. The Ghats are riverside steps that bank the river and lead to the Ganges itself. The ghats have been serving a number of purposes right from the time they had been created by a 16th century emperor of Varanasi.

Visit Varanasi temples, the scene is a typical sight of any pilgrimage or temple that you see in India. A walk thru the old city to the Golden Temple of Kashi Vishwanath Temple.
Later excursion to toSarnath where you will be engulfed in the history of Varanasi and mainly the Buddhist religion. Visit Dhamekha Stupa where Buddha gave his first sermon after his enlightenment, followed by visiting the SarnathArcheological Museum, you have an option for small studio of Thanka Art with the most intricate artwork of Mandelas.
