Banjar is scenic hill town located in Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh. Banjar has lush green surroundings and temples that give this place the sobriquet of "Valley of God". Banjar lies on the alternate route of Shimla to Kullu. This place consists of various tourist destinations as well.
Banjar is elevated at an altitude of 1,356 meters above ocean level and is beckoned by the lower Himalayas. The evening and nights remain cool throughout this season. The winters arrive early and stay till late. The extreme winters cover the landscape of Banjar with a white blanket of snow.
The tourist destinations in Banjar are basically the sightseeing spots that do not offer much. One can just admire the breath taking green surroundings and marvelous peaks. The Shringi Rishi Temple is the only prime attraction in this valley that is dedicated to Shringi, the ruler sage of Banjar.
