Mahabalipuram is a small town in Tamil Nadu, located on the coast of Bay of Bengal. The regional name of this town is Mamallapuram. It is an ancient town which used to be a seaport during 1st century CE. Monsoon months are extremely humid and it rains heavily here. Winters are moderate and hence the best time to visit.
