Founded by the Mughal Emperor Akbar in the 15th century, Fatehpur Sikri is a beautiful city in Agra district of Uttar Pradesh. The former fortified city was famous by the name of 'Red City' as the majority of the monuments erected were constructed out of red sandstone.
