Ayodhya is a holy city located in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. This place is said to be the birthplace of Lord Rama, a Hindu religious figurine. The city of Ayodhya is located on the banks of River Sarayu and is elevated 305 feet above the sea level. The major portion of its land is an uneven terrain that covers a gross area of 25 sq. km. The climate of Ayodhya is described as a moderate. It encounters warm summers with the median mercury level of 37°C. During the winters, the mercury level falls down below 12°C and makes the weather colder. An ample amount of rainfall is received by the city of Ayodhya.
