The former capital of the Kosala Empire, Kushinagar is a town located in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh that was ruled by Kush, the son of Lord Rama. It is one among the most-inhabited towns in Uttar Pradesh. Kushinagar is also reckoned as a religious site for the followers of Buddhism.
