Chamoli is a district located in the Indian state of Uttarakhand. It is the second largest district of the state that houses spectacular destinations. Beckoned by the snow-clad peaks of Garhwal Himalayas, Chamoli is elevated at an enormous height of 2,624 feet above the sea level. It sprawls across 750 sq. km. and a major portion of its land is a hilly terrain. It is fed by the waters of the pious river Alaknanda and such geography defines its climate as a moderate cool. Throughout the year, Chamoli encounters pleasant temperatures which scale between 5°C-15°C. It receives an ample amount of rainfall with an annual average of 2850 mm.
